Born in Israel to a multi-generational farming family, Maayan Koschitzky made wine for 7 years in his home country before emigrating to the United States in 2011 to take a position at Screaming Eagle and later Dalla Valle. In 2014, highly regarded winemaker Phillipe Melka recruited Maayan to join his consulting company first as Assistant Winemaker then as Director of Winemaking, establishing a role in crafting wines for such prestigious brands as Tusk, Lail, Vice Versa, Fairchild, Roy and of course his own brand, LaPelle Wines. Today, Maayan has clients all over the world and even owns his own winery in his native Israel. Maayan has tremendous respect for the decades of success Napa has achieved and looks forward to advancing a more nuanced and complex style that further emphasizes the Napa Valley personality.
